About Us

Cat Mining Supplies is situated in Klerksdorp which is central for the Mining Activities.

Started in 2001 by Coert and Thersea Pieterse.

Have two black partners that owns 30% shares.

Have a workforce of 110 people.

We make the nets by hand at our privately owned factory premises.

We manufacture, deliver, sell and do training.

Our clientele includes Anglo American, Harmony, Sibanye Stillwater, Siyanda JV, Anglo Gold, Petra Diamonds, Village Mainreef, Vedanta, Samancor and also other sectors like Eskom and construction companies. We design, make and deliver nets to our clients to their specifications and needs.

All our nets are made by hand and we employ local people at our factory in Klerksdorp. We have two Black Partners that are working at our factory with our employees on a daily basis as part of management.

Some of our contract work includes a project that supplied nets to a contractor that installed nets for Eskom at Madupi. We also install, maintain, inspect nets for Mittal at Vanderbijlpark for roof safety when replacing roof sheeting. We are therefore qualified to work on heights. At Anglo American Amandelbult we did a project to make and install a net to cover a 1200 square meter dam.

Our new venture is to supply and install safety nets in the open cast mining pit on the high walls. We have an abseiling team available to do the installation.
